Abstract
Describes results for floating party floors with a solid concrete base, mostly cast in situ, but in a few cases formed of floor sized precast slabs. Considers three floating element/resilient layer combinations: a concrete or other cementitious screed floating on a glass fibre or mineral wool resilient layer; a similar screed on a polystyrene resilient layer; and a timber raft on a resilient layer of any type.
