Abstract
Outlines new BRE guidance on site layout planning to achieve good access to sunlight and solar heat gain, both for buildings and for the open spaces between them. It deals with sunlight for amenity purposes, passive solar site layout, and safeguarding sunlight in gardens and play areas.
