Abstract
Discusses the recent major revision of Building Regulations Approved Document E on sound insulation. The technical specifications used in England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have been harmonised, and two new sections have been added. One describes an additional approval procedure based on full-size mock-up tests, and the other deals with material change of use of a dwelling.
