Abstract
Three studies of people's responses to electric lighting in a simulated office have proved valuable both in the current revision of the professional code for interior lighting in the United Kingdom and for draft European standards. This paper discusses the three studies, and gives guidance on acceptable illuminance variation from electric lighting in an office environment.
