Abstract

An expanding polystyrene flooring insulation, and a high density expanded polystyrene flooring insulation. The products have either square-edged profiles or tongue and groove edges for use in ground supported or suspended concrete floors and may be installed on: a concrete floor with a cement-based screed overlay, or a concrete floor with chipboard floor overlay, or hardcore bases of ground floors with the concrete placed over. It is used to reduce the thermal transmittance of new or existing floors.
