Abstract
Specifies the safety requirements for suspended access equipment (SAE). Applicable to both permanent and temporary equipment which may be powered or hand operated. Covers: list of hazards; safety requirements and/or measures; structural, stability and mechanical calculations; suspended platform; hoist, secondary device, pulley and wire rope; suspension rig; electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems; control systems; verification of the safety requirements; marking and warning; and accompanying documents.
