Abstract

Gives guidance on overlaying an existing bituminous or asphalt roof with a new built-up roofing system. The existing roof should first be assessed to establish the need for and the suitability of an overlay system. If an overlay is suitable then it must be carried out with the correct specification and by competent contractors.
