Reviews knowledge-based and decision support techniques in the construction industry with a view to highlighting how decision makers in construction organisations can exploit knowledge as an asset. Introduces Knowledge Management and Decision Support Techniques and provides information on example applications that demonstrate their use in industrial sectors closely related to construction. Guidelines for deciding on the suitability of knowledge-based techniques for problem-solving are provided.
