Report BR 391 Specifying vibro stone columns
Publication Year
2000
Document Status
Archived
Abstract
Vibro stone columns are currently the most common form of ground treatment employed in the UK. This report provides a specification for vibro stone columns, including elements of design. Its use should save considerable time at tender stage and avoid misunderstandings, particularly in the use of standard terminology. The notes for guidance and information present a rationale for the particular clauses of the specification and provide supporting technical information.
