Abstract
The aim of this guidance note is to explain the specific procedures which are involved in England and Wales in Environmental Assessment (EA). EA is required when a planning application in the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland) is to be submitted for a project which is likely to have significant effects upon the environment of the locality in which the proposed development is situated.
