Abstract
Not intended to provide guidance and advice to surveyors on the manner in which repair works should be implemented. Rather, it highlights the peripheral matters which arise, and aspects which need to be given consideration over and above those matters which normally apply to building works. These include not only the formulation of an initial record of the damage and investigation works involved, but also all those ancillary matters which arise, the involvement of additional parties including insurers and their representatives, temporary work dealing with consequential loss matters including the provision of temporary accommodation and the like.
