Abstract

Encourages school governors to appreciate what is involved in looking after and developing the buildings in which children are educated. The Guide is split into two parts. The first part establishes the context in which capital and recurrent funding may be used. The second part describes the processes that may be gone through to carry out a building project, whether it is minor repairs or a major capital project.
