Abstract
Gives recommendations on the location, use and layout of certain roadside features with regard to traffic operation and safety. It is applicable to existing, new and improved rural roads. Covers: Kerbs, lay-bys, rest areas, pedestrian guardrails, anti-dazzle fences, arrester beds, cattle grids, facilities for cyclists, access, roadside advertisements, roadside facilities for ridden horses, pedestrian features at level crossings.
