Abstract
Covers the work carried out by the BRE for the Contaminated Land and Liabilities Branch of the DETR, on the effects of contaminants on building materials and containment measures. This work started in 1990 as part of research on aggressive soils by assessing the effects of contaminants on building materials and containment measures. The research was guided by advice and comment from a DOE/Industry Steering Group set up in 1992.
