Abstract
Requirements for chain blocks to ensure safety in use. Includes performance testing and marking and a system of classification based on ISO 4301.
Document History
Superseded by BS EN 13157:2004. Supersedes BS 3243:1973. Where chain blocks are used in conjunction with runway beams, the beams should be designed and tested in accordance with BS 2853.
