Abstract
Refurbishment of the Daily Express building at 120 Fleet Street The entrance hall has been restored to its original 1930s extravagant state. The rest of the building was upgraded to fulfil current requirements and to extend the floor space into buildings on the eastern side. Description of the structure by Ian McVitty of Ove Arup & Partners. Details of costs. Working details of an aluminium and glazed facade designed to match the existing 1930s facade. Original architect: Sir Owen Williams. Architects for the refurbishment: Hurley, Robertson and Associates. Structural and Services Engineers: Ove Arup & Partners.
