Abstract
Building study of new £4.5 million public library, in Peckham, London, on five levels. The building resembles a bookend, with one end resting on the floor and the other balanced on columns. A mezzanine level near the top of the building, contains three blob-shaped pods, one open and two closed rooms. Followed by working details of the prefabricated reception desk and a two-storey pod. Architect: Alsop & Stormer. Structural engineer: Adams Kara Taylor. Services engineer: Battle McCarthy.
