Abstract
Describes two case studies. Summarises the project. The main objective was to study modular construction in the context of flexible, adaptable and sustainable solutions to the changing demands of social housing. This case study is the Peabody Trust’s Murray Grove in Hackney. The architects were Cartwright-Pickard, the manufacturer was Yorkon and the main contractor was Kajima. The development was completed in November 1999.
