Publication Year

Abstract
BRE are developing a practical methodology for Durability Assessment. This Durability Assessment Procedure will build on BS ISO 15686-1 Service life planning - General Principles and BS ISO 15686-3 Service Life Planning - Performance audits and reviews, by developing tools to implement these standards. In October 2000 a consultation document was circulated to key industry groups to seek the views of the industry itself. This consultation is to be an on-going process, supported by regular project reviews by an industrial consultation group. The consultation exercise considered in this report sought to ascertain whether the BRE Durability Assessment Procedure is likely to be supported and adopted.
