Abstract
Summarises the load characteristics and both the general and specific design criteria that apply to commercial buildings. Design criteria include such factors as comfort level; cost; and fire, smoke, and odour control. Specific information is included on dining and office buildings, entertainment, bowling, communication and transportation centres, and warehouses. Museums, libraries, and archives are covered in Chapter 20.
