Abstract
Provides an understanding of carbon emissions from the UK building stock based on bottom-up modelling techniques. It contains up-to-date figures on current energy consumption and carbon emissions by sub-sector, end-use and fuel type. It provides a detailed assessment of the technical and economic potential for reducing carbon emissions in public and commercial buildings that could be realised by the application of energy efficiency options that are presently available, both for the current day and 2010. Also includes scenarios, developed to explore possible future carbon emissions from public and commercial buildings.
