Abstract
Covers the safety and environmental aspects to be considered for construction of nozzles for metering pumps and dispensers at petrol filling stations. It is applicable to automatic nozzles that dispense liquid fuels for use by motor vehicles, boats and light aircraft and into portable containers. Construction details cover materials, guards, inlet threads, safe breaks, latches, and automatic de-activating mechanisms. The physical properties, functional requirements, testing frequencies and marking are also detailed.
