Abstract

Looks at a number of plans and consultancy studies to see how the environmental capacity idea has actually been used, or abused, in planning practice. The main focus of this publication is on using environmental capacity in a development plan context, primarily at the county level but also looking both downwards to the district level and upwards to the regional scale.
