Abstract
Examines a number of possible changes to the listing and listed buildings control regimes which the Government believes merit public discussion. It also suggests how a partnership approach to the built heritage could be developed between Historic Scotland and local authorities, involving 'heritage contracts'. Contains a range of detailed proposals and issues relating to heritage legislation on which the Government would welcome views.
