Abstract
The Environment Act 1995 introduces new requirements for an initial review and updating of old mineral planning permissions and the periodic review of all mineral permissions thereafter. This circular gives advice to planning authorities and the minerals industry on the statutory procedures to be followed and the approach to be adopted for the preparation and consideration of updated planning conditions in the review process.
