Abstract

Comprised of two reports. The first provides a rural analysis and assessment of the 1992 based household projections, covering the growth in household numbers, migration, population age structure, household type and housing tenure. The second considers a number of policy options for accommodating the additional households projected for rural areas, and assesses the social, economic and environmental impacts that might be expected in different types of rural area.
