Abstract
Attempts to cover defects which commonly arise on the pavements of military airports in the United Kingdom, with details given on how these defects may be identified, how they are caused and, if possible, how they can be avoided, before going on to describe recommended maintenance treatments. Sample specifications are offered in the Appendices for the guidance of specifiers who shall retain responsibility for the formulation and issue of all project specific works specifications for contractual use.
