Abstract
Wireless and tagging technologies have been successfully used in several sectors of industry and shown significant benefits to their users. The potential for cost savings and productivity improvement through the uptake of these information and communication technologies for the industry is estimated to be in hundreds of millions of pounds. Part 2 describes the equipment and methodologies used for tagging, and the opportunities for future development.
