Abstract
Home zones provide the opportunity to create neighbourhoods around the needs of the communities and people rather than around the needs of traffic. This guidance has been issued in draft and is subject to a consultation period running up the end of December 2004. It is intended to be a working document and comprises the following sections: what is a Home Zone; the Act and Regulations; principles of Home Zones; transport considerations; planning and implementations; and monitoring.
