Abstract
A voltage dip means that the required energy is not being delivered to the load and this can have serious consequences depending on the type of load involved. There are two main causes: starting of large loads and faults on other branches of the network. Looks at arrangements for independent dual supplies, dip mitigation equipment and specification of equipment with the necessary resilience to dips.
