Abstract
Investigates area-based regeneration programmes and the ward-based geography of these area-based initiatives. Also looks at funding issues and capacity issues. Suggests that local authorities with regeneration needs should be encouraged to develop their own regeneration plans which identify local needs. Also recommends what local regenerations plans should achieve.
