Abstract
Provides background on the new Euroclasses and the European harmonised classification system for Reaction to Fire, as detailed in BS EN 13501-1:2002. The overall aims are to permit free trade across national boundaries within the European Community based on harmonised tests that better evaluate the reaction of building products to fire.
