Abstract
Comments are invited in this consultation document which proposes an alternative to pre-completion testing (PCT). This aims to demonstrate that new houses and flats comply with Building Regulations requirement E1. The alternative has been designed by the House Builders Federation (HBF) and uses robust standard details (RSD) which are high performance constructions providing good sound insulation.
