Each of the legal duties is explained in detail, with advice given on how they may he discharged effectively. It also looks at the appointments, notification, competence and resources as well as the interaction with designers and with principal contractors. Guidance is provided on the CDM-specific documents, namely the health and safety plan and the health and safety file. Issues relating to types of client, project and construction procurement are also covered.
