Potential for developing a regional hub within Scotland
Publication Year
2003
Document Status

Abstract
Examines the potential for a regional or 'niche' hub to develop in Scotland, as well as researching which of the main airports in Scotland would be the more likely location for such a small hub operation, and discusses the potential impact of low-cost airlines route development on the potential for a scheduled hub to emerge. The report also seeks to evaluate in broad terms the potential benefits of a regional hub operation in Scotland (i.e. higher passenger throughput, increased route viability and frequency, better connectivity).
