Abstract

Design guidance is given on vibration response of floors in hospitals and health buildings. Provides details of human perception and how to measure vibration. Explanations are given for floor response and the types of excitation produced. Calculations for floor acceleration are set out in a simple design procedure. Covers composite floors that use hot rolled sections.
