Abstract

Contains the 14 Robust Standard Details (RSDs) that have been developed from the largest testing programme for sound undertaken. The team comprised representatives from government, associations, housebuilders and suppliers during a 9 month period. The aim was to provide a standard for sound insulation as a benchmark for all European homes. Covering separating floors - masonry, timber and steel; separating walls - masonry, timber and steel and RSD tables.
