Abstract

The purpose of these regulations is to transpose Directive 2001/42/EC, on the assessment of certain plans and programmes on the environment, commonly known as the Strategic environment assessment (SEA) directive, into Irish law - insofar as the directive relates to land use planning.

Document History

Amends the Planning and development regulations 2001 (SI 2001/600). These Regulations and the Planning and development regulations 2001 to 2003 shall be construed as one and may be collectively cited as the Planning and development regulations 2001 to 2004. Amended by the Planning and development (strategic environmental assessment) (amendment) regulations 2011.
