Abstract

Details are given for the design of composite box girder bridges in accordance with BS 5400 with updates to reflect changes consequent on the revision the British Standard in 2000. This type of closed section is particularly useful when planning curves due to its torsional properties. Worked examples are included with commentary on calculations.
