Abstract
Aims to provide an understanding of the phenomenon of lightning and the general requirements for the design, installation, inspection and testing of lightning protection systems for buildings and structures. It does not provide details on the protection of high risk buildings, nor protection of electronic equipment against electrical disturbances arising from lightning.
