Gives advice on the briefing and design implications of Scottish Office policy and is aimed at multi-disciplinary teams engaged in designing new buildings and/or altering or extending existing buildings. In essence the Planning Note comprises amendments to certain paragraphs in Health Building Note 26, published by the Department of Health, and 15 replacement pages. The Building Note focuses on the accommodation requirements for Operating Departments in Health Buildings.
