Abstract
The Government is proposing to introduce a new general Regulation into the Building Regulations, which will apply to non-domestic properties. This consultation asks whether the functional requirements of B3 Internal fire spread (structure) need to be changed. Recent research suggests the topics of fire safety management, residential sprinklers and means of escape for disabled people should also be taken into account.

Consultation closed on 18th November 2005.
