Abstract
Can be used for inner walls, outer walls, cellars, foundations and external chimney masonry. Applies to all calcium silicate masonry units, including those of an overall nonrectangular parallel piped shape, specially shaped and accessory units.

Supersedes BS EN 771-2:2001, BS 6649:1985 and BS 187:1978. This document is a candidate harmonized European Standard and takes into account the requirements of EC mandate M116 for masonry products. Amendment 15974 dated 28 November 2005. Superseded by BS EN 771-2:2011.
