Abstract
Covers walls subjected to vertical loading and wind loading; walls subjected to concentrated loads; shear walls; basement walls subjected to lateral earth pressure and vertical loads and walls subjected to lateral loads but not subjected to vertical loads.

Supersedes DD ENV 1996-3:2001. To enable EN 1996-1-1 to be used in the UK, the NDPs will be published in a National Annex, which will be made available by BSI in due course, after public consultation has taken place. Supersedes BS 5628-1:2005, BS 5628-2:2005 and BS 5628-3:2005 which remain current.
