Abstract
Details bridge inspection and maintenance assessment method of the potential for scour to damage a bridge. The outcome of the assessment is a Priority Rating for the bridge. The method does not provide a quantitative assessment of the risk of failure.

Not formally implemented by the NRA for use in Ireland, but should be considered as background reading. Superseded by HA BD 97/12. In some cases the NRA DMRB continues to reference parts of the UK DMRB that have been superseded or withdrawn for use in the UK.
