Abstract

Identifies requirements that can enable assessment of the performance of alarm transmission equipment (ATE) when used in conjunction with the corresponding alarm transmission system (ATS). The requirements are intended to demonstrate that messages from the alarm transmission equipment sent over the ATS can successfully reach the alarm receiving centre (ARC), reliably and within defined time limits. Requirements are also given for the maximum reporting times in the event of a failure of a transmission path.
