Abstract
Covers system selection, equipment, controls and piping for custom-engineered ammonia (R-717) refrigeration systems. These have design conditions which span a wide range of evaporating and condensing temperatures. Ammonia is the refrigerant of choice for many industrial refrigeration systems. Also briefly discusses carbon dioxide systems.
