Abstract
Precooling implies the removal of heat before the product is shipped to a distant market, processed, or stored. Precooling is generally undertaken in a separate facility from where products are stored. Covers production requirements, calculation methods, cooling methods, hydrocooling, forced-air cooling, package icing, vacuum cooling, selecting a cooling method, cooling cut flowers, and symbols.
