Interim Advice Notes 91/07 Interim advice on the identification of 'particularly at risk' supports (Withdrawn)
Publication Year
2007
Document Status
Withdrawn
Abstract
Aims to ensure a consistent approach in identifying 'at risk' bridge supports and to give guidance on actions required. Applicable only to structures owned by the Agency.
Document History
Superseded by CS 453 Assessment of highway bridge supports (formerly BD 48/93, BD 60/04 and IAN 91/07) (HE, 2020). Interim Advice Notes (IANs) are issued by the Highways Agency from time to time. They contain specific Guidance, which shall only be used in connection with works on motorways and trunk roads in England, subject to any specific implementation instructions contained within an IAN. Whilst IANs must be read in conjunction with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) for the above works, and may incorporate amendments or additions to documents in these manuals, they are not part of the DMRB or MCHW. Partially supersedes section 4 of BD 48/93.
