Abstract
Describes the Government’s expectations for the Fire and Rescue Service, what Fire and Rescue Authorities are expected to do and what support the Government will provide. Designed to give authorities a firm foundation on which to build local solutions. Covers work to prevent fires and manage risk. Discusses providing an effective response when incidents do occur. Addresses effective management of staff, training provision, performance management and financial management issues.
